تويتر يعتذر لمستخدميه عن استعمال بياناتهم في الإعلانات
اعتذر موقع تويتر لمستخدميه بعد الكشف عن قيامه باستعمال أرقام هواتفهم وعناوين البريد الإلكتروني “دون عمد” في أغراض دعائية.
وبحسب مدونة رسمية لتويتر، لم يتم تبادل أي معلومات شخصية للمستخدمين مع شركاء تويتر الخارجيين، مؤكدا أن المشكلة التي سمحت باستخدام بيانات المستخدمين في أغراض ترويجية تم حلها يوم 17 سبتمبر الماضي.
توتير أكد في تدوينته أن أرقام هواتف المستخدمين وعناوين بريدهم الإلكتروني تستخدم حاليا لأغراض الحماية فقط.
يشار إلى أن أرقام هواتف المستخدمين يتم استخدامها في إجراء “التحقق بخطوتين”، الذي من المفترض أن يمنح حسابات المستخدمين قدرا أكبر من الأمان والحماية.
ولم يفصح تويتر عن أعداد المستخدمين الذين تأثروا بهذا الخلل الأمني، مكتفيا بالاعتذار وتقديم الوعود بعدم تكرار الخطأ مجددا.
ومن الجدير بالذكر أن تويتر كان قد طلب في مايو 2018 من جميع مستخدميه (أكثر من 330 مليون مستخدم حول العالم) تغيير كلمات المرور، بعد اكتشاف ثغرة أمنية خطيرة.

One thing I would like to say is that before purchasing more laptop or computer memory, look at the machine in to which it could well be installed. In the event the machine is actually running Windows XP, for instance, the memory threshold is 3.25GB. Applying in excess of this would basically constitute just a waste.
