وقال اشكنازي في تصريحات نقلها موقع (والا) الإسرائيلي: إذا لم يسد الهدوء علي جبهة غزة، ويتحقق ترتيب طويل الأجل مع إعادة الأسرى الإسرائيليين، سنعمل علي تفكيك وتدمير الذراع العسكري لحماس.
وأضاف: الجيش الإسرائيلي يعرف كيفية القيام بذلك، ولديه مجموعة الأدوات والتكنولوجيا للقيام بذلك، وفق زعمه.
وتابع عضو حزب (أزرق- أبيض): حماس قوية لأن نتنياهو ضعيف، ومن غير المعقول أن يجد رئيس الحكومة وقتاً للقيام بجولة سياسية خارج إسرائيل، ولا يجد وقتا للقيام بجولة أمنية في غلاف غزة.
