أعلن مفتي القدس والديار الفلسطينية سماحة الشيخ محمد حسين أن جميع المساجد ستبقى مغلقة خلال فترة الطوارئ التي تشمل بداية شهر رمضان، وأنه التزاماً بالإجراءات المتبعة ستبقى صلوات الجماعة والجمعة معلقة بهدف الحفاظ على حياة أبناء شعبنا وحمايتهم من انتشار فيروس كورونا.
وأوضح المفتي محمد حسين في حديث لإذاعة صوت فلسطين الرسمية، صباح اليوم الأربعاء، انه وبسبب الأوضاع السائدة في فلسطين فإن دور الإفتاء لن تدعوا جماهير شعبنا إلى تحري هلال شهر رمضان المبارك هذا العام، منعاً للتجمع والتجمهر وسيتم الاكتفاء بتحري أهل الاختصاص من مفتيين وبعض من أعضاء الجمعية الفلسطينية للفلكيين وسيعلن عن ثبوت رؤية الهلال والبدء بالصيام ببيان يبث عبر هيئة الإذاعة والتلفزيون الفلسطينية وغيرها من وسائل الإعلام غير الرسمية أيضا.
