Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has posted a post on the prevalence of meningitis in Bangladesh.
In a Facebook post-Thursday night, Zuckerberg praised the charity and the use of a little tool created by BioHub.
In a Facebook post, Zuckerberg writes that recently researchers in Bangladesh are using the tool called ‘disk’ to find out the cause of meningitis. The tool was developed by the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative and a team called BioHub.
‘IDisec’ or Infectious Disease Sequencer is an open-source and cloud-based tool that anyone can access using an Internet connection.
He also wrote that using this tool of bio hub, various measures can be taken to prevent the disease of children.
Zuckerberg also thanked the Gates Foundation for the work. The Gates Foundation is working to hand over the IDESec tool to health workers.
